Octavo’s is managed by the Champniss brothers, Dom and Damien, who look forward to seeing you very soon.
Octavo’s has it all: books, booze and excellent homemade soups and sandwiches. And on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, we stay open late to shake you some superb (and some superbly silly) cocktails.
Situated in the oldest remaining building in Tiger (now Cardiff) Bay – a former (possibly haunted) coaching inn built in 1839 – Octavo’s has been welcoming the hungry, the thirsty and the literary since 2016. We host poetry readings, musical gigs, computer games evenings, writing classes, quiz nights, party political broadcasts, Welsh conversation classes, all while making sure that our customers are at all times well-fed and watered. We won a coveted TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Our cakes are made in Wales our coffee is roasted in Wales and we all come from Wales.
We are the only place in Cardiff Bay where you can buy books and the only place in the world where you can get our delicious mac ‘n’ cheese toastie.
